Whitletts Victoria manager George Grierson says he was delighted to get back to winning ways as they beat Craigmark Burntonians 3-1 at the weekend.
Victoria went into the Conference A clash at Station Park searching for a win having lost their last two games on the spin. A double from Jordan Boyd and a goal from Scott Dempster meant Vics picked up the three points.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Greirson said: “We have had a tough month of fixtures, so it was to great to get a good result at the weekend.
“It puts us back up to third in the table and hopefully we can continue on from that result and get a bit of momentum.”
Next up for the Vics is another league match as they host Forth Wanderers on Saturday, with Grierson wary of the Wanderers positive results of late.
He said: “We had someone watching Wanderers at the weekend but I am yet to get the report back on them.
“They have had some really good results of late and everyone is capable of beating everyone in this league, so we will not take the game lightly.
“But our aim is to be challenging at the top.”
