A man has been taken to hospital after becoming unwell on Ayr High Street today.
The road was closed to allow emergency service staff to attend to the man.
Police assisted ambulance staff as they treated the man, who was taken to Ayr hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
The road was reopened to traffic just after 2pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.40pm to reports a man had taken unwell on Ayr High Street.
"Officers closed the road to allow treatment to the man and he was then taken to hospital.”
