Police have confirmed that a missing Dumfries man who may have travelled to Ayr has been traced.
A policespokesperson said: "Kevin Hughes (53) who had been missing from Dumfries since Saturday, July 17, 2021 was traced safe and well on Tuesday, July 20, 2021."
