The demolition of the iconic Burns House in Ayr has been completed.
The project on the council-owned building, which began back in January, is believed to have cost around £1.3million, as each floor was taken away one at a time. It had most recently been used as office space until 2019.
Future plans for the space have yet to be decided by council bosses.
A South Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “Once the site has been completely cleared, the area will be landscaped.
“We continue to explore opportunities which will enhance and develop this important gateway into the town.”
