Prestwick singing star Jérémy Levif has released a new song and music video.

‘Puzzle’ has been released off the back of the French-born singer’s success on the talent show The Voice at the beginning of the year, when he reached the semi-final stage of the competition.

The music video was filmed solely on our very own Prestwick beach with a stunning sunset backdrop.

Originally from Lyon, Jérémy says the new song has already been streamed more than all his others and he’s proud at how it turned out.

He told the Advertiser: “It has been amazing getting into the filming and I always wanted to do it down on Prestwick beach, but you know what the weather can be like.

“So one night the weather was perfect and we went for it and I’m so pleased with how it has turned out.

“I don’t have a big massive budget to do my filming so I’m proud from that point of view with how it’s turned out.”

After exiting The Voice back in March and returning to teaching modern languages at Wellington School in Ayr, Jérémy always had his eyes set on releasing new music. Despite juggling music videos with teaching kids the beautiful French language, he relished the balance.

Jérémy added: “It seems like it’s gone back to normal a bit because I’ve always been focusing on writing music and doing my own stuff as much as I can.

“The balance has actually been okay to deal with because I actually enjoyed being back in school and seeing people because they had followed my journey on the show, so it gave an extra bit of motivation to see that people had been enjoying what I’ve been doing.

“The support for the single and for my time on The Voice really has been amazing and I can’t thank everyone enough for it.”

With a nod back to his home country, Jérémy plans to release his next song in French, and the alternate between the two languages so he can cater for everyone.

He continued: “I want to do that because I’ve had a lot of support from people back in France who have also followed my journey so it would be nice for them.

“I’ve been contacted by newspapers and media outlets in France about my music so it’s an exciting time”.
