Ardrossan youngster Abi Rose McQueen, 12, has won a place in the Junior Miss Galaxy Final that is due to take place in Lancashire in November.
Junior Miss Galaxy is a beauty pageant for 12-14 year olds, and the contest will see Abi compete against other young queens from across the UK.
Miss Galaxy has been running in the UK for over five years and if
Abi Rose wins the top spot of the pageant competition then it will see her being flown out to America to compete for the International title in Florida.
Abi’s mum, Cheryl McQueen, told the Herald about her daughter’s beauty queen success and said: “Abi Rose is so excited to be placed in the finals and hoping to bring the crown back for Ayrshire.”
Using her local connections, Abi is sponsored by Dream Brides in Irvine and is pictured getting her pageant gown from the shop. She also gets her hair and makeup done at Scott Mckinnon aesthetics in Saltcoats.
