A TROON school has received a £500 cheque for its school garden
Taylor Wimpey donated the cash to Struthers Primary School to celebrate National Garden Wildlife Week.
Head Teacher Mrs McKellar said: “We are extremely grateful for this donation from Taylor Wimpey because we know the school garden can make such a positive contribution to our children’s health and wellbeing.
“The garden is also a haven for local bugs and native wildlife so we need to do all that we can to help them thrive so our children will use Taylor Wimpey’s donation to create plenty of natural spaces for native wildlife to feel at home in our school garden.
“I am sure we will have lots of fun creating bug hotels and planting pollinator friendly plants to attract bees and other insects, and I hope we will inspire the children to be creative in their own gardens at home.”
