A popular Ayr community space has had their newly-fitted windows smashed by mindless vandals in the town centre.

The damage to Tsukure Hub, which is located on the high Street, is likely to cost thousands of pounds, with the window measuring in at a massive 2894mm x 2234mm.

It was only fitted last Friday before the Tsukure Radio one year anniversary. The window was for the new studios they are currently building there.

In video footage on the Hub's Facebook page of the incident taken last night (June 2) just after 10pm you can clearly see two teenage-looking boys run up to the window and give it a big boot.

Two teenage girls appear to be with the boys too, but had no role in smashing the window.

The Tsukure Hub, a community interest company who work to improve opportunities for people in the area, are now appealing for info regarding the culprits.

They said: "If you know the identities of the individuals in this CCTV video footage taken last night, please contact the police on 101 or if you would prefer you can DM us the details directly and we will pass on the information. Thank you."

The Police have been contacted for comment.
