TWO men face prosecution after being arrested following a disturbance at a Greenock address which allegedly involved offensive weapons.
Police were called to John Wilson Street at 8am on Tuesday.
Officers say a 26-year-old male was being abusive and threatened to assault a female using a weapon.
Their report also says a 30-year-old man was found in possession of a kitchen knife in public.
Area Commander Chief Inspector Paul Cameron said: "This is a disturbing and unacceptable incident.
"Thankfully nobody was injured.
"If you intend carrying such weapons for illegal activities, be prepared to be arrested."
