Kevin Phillips reckons Liverpool outcast Harry Wilson could be the perfect fit for Steven Gerrard and Rangers.
The Welsh international has been linked with the Ibrox club in the past since Gerrard's move to Glasgow three years ago.
Since then Wilson has gone on loan to Hull City, Derby, Bournemouth and Cardiff, but he has failed to break into Jurgen Klopp's plans at Anfield.
The 24-year-old is contracted at Liverpool until 2023, but Phillips wouldn't be surprised to see Wilson at Rangers in the near future.
He told Football Insider: “He’s got a lot of quality, he knows Gerrard, he’s an exciting young talent.
“Wilson’s not going to cost fortunes and fortunes and he’ll shine up there at Rangers.
“He’s an exciting attacking player and he’s one that Stevie can nurture and get more out of.
“Again, I’m not criticising the league up there but with his quality he can definitely shine, it’s just where Stevie would play him.”
