This photo by Craig Binning gives a fascinating new perspective of the Kaffir shipwreck just off the coast of Ayr.
The Kaffir, a Clyde puffer, lies just north of Ayr Harbour and was wrecked in September 1974 in tempestuous weather.
Seen from the harbour, it appears as just a few lumps of metal with the mast sticking out, Craig’s snap shows it from above, giving a better perspective of the shape and size of the sunken ship.
Craig, from Dalrymple, got the shot using a drone camera, the DJI Mini 2, while out on a walk with his dogs on April 15.
He’s self-taught and first got into photography about five years ago when his wife bought him his first DSLR camera and since then he’s been hooked.
Craig said: “I like to share my photos of the beauty of Ayrshire and Scotland.”
He has a Facebook page for his photography, which you can find by searching for Craig Binning Photography.
