A 36-year-old man was hospitalised after a car crash on the A78 near Troon yesterday.
The incident occurred around 6.20pm on Tuesday, April 27 and involved two vehicles.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for a short time. It reopened around an hour later.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.20pm on Tuesday, April 27, we received a report of a two vehicle crash on the A78 northbound near Troon.
“Emergency services attended and a 36-year-old man was taken by the Scottish Ambulance Service to Ayr Hospital.
“The road was closed for a short time to allow for uplift of the vehicles and reopened around 7.10pm.”
