THE charity No-one Dies Alone Ayrshire have launched a new website and lottery to help towards funding for their services.

Funds from the lottery will also go towards projects across Ayrshire, such as sponsoring benches across the region, in honour of some of the people they have cared for.

This will coincide with a new bereavement walk they are hoping to launch very soon which will involve people who have a life-limiting illness or someone close to someone who has.

The group will take the walks past the sponsored benches, allowing people to share stories with each other about their loved one, or their own experience.

On top of this, a death cafe is also being held on zoom on May 13.

The purpose of this is to get people talking about death and being able to say the word without any stigmas attached.

Registry for the event can be found on the No-one Dies Alone Ayrshire Facebook page.

The group’s Linda Jane McCurrach said it’s all about bringing people together.

She added: “It makes it a lot easier for people to deal with their own situation when they someone similar.

“We always advise people to get involved and speak out.”
