Ayr Rugby Club will be taking part in their very own kiltwalk this weekend.
There will be a joint effort with Ayr’s Unity Grill restaurant, after members of the rugby club had been helping staff deliver meals to people across Ayrshire during lockdown and money going towards both organisations.
This weekend’s walk took a late twist, with six people from six households now being able to socialise outdoors. Previously plans were in place for the rugby club to do the walk in pairs.
Ayr Rugby Club President, Stewart Kerr said: “Everyone who is taking part is thoroughly looking forward to it.
“It’s good that we’re able to do it in slightly larger groups, although we’ll still be following all the relevant guidance.
“It’s good to be able to raise some money for worthwhile causes and catching up with friends at the same time.”
Groups will be leaving Unity Grill on Saturday morning between 10am and 10.30am, with the 20km route ending at Ayr Rugby Club.
