Maybole Community Council are on the lookout to find a new tagline for the town that will fit in with the positive things that are happening around the place.

People from throughout Maybole, South Ayrshire and beyond are being invited to have their say on what the town’s new tagline could be, which will be used in the new North Carrick website launching in May.

A new bypass is being built around Maybole, work is underway for Maybole’s new community campus, as well as the town’s High Street also being set for a makeover.

In preparation for the good times ahead, the community council want to ensure that the town has a tagline that can be at the forefront of what is happening.

Community council chairman, Mark Fletcher ensures that the new tagline will not replace the ‘Ancient Capital of Carrick’ name which is found on signs entering the town.

He told the Advertiser: “It’ll be great to get something that can encapsulate a different part of Maybole’s history to be the tagline going forward.

“It’s got to be something that will attract people to come to Maybole.

“We’re not trying to replace anything, we’re merely trying to come up with something that can work alongside the history of this town”.

You can have your say on the Maybole Community Council Facebook page.
