Out of all the things we have been looking forward to most following the easing of lockdown restrictions this month, beer gardens are up there.

Last month, Nicola Sturgeon announced that beer gardens would be able to reopen in line with the wider hospitality industry on April 26.

From that date, cafés, restaurants and bars will be able to serve people outdoors, in groups of up to six from three households, until 10pm. Alcohol will be permitted, and there will be no requirement for food to be served.

So with the prospect of a pint in the sun with friends and family edging ever closer, we have put together a list of venues reopening their beer gardens and outdoor dining spaces so you know exactly where to head for a much-awaited beverage.

If your establishment is reopening their beer garden or outdoor dining space this month and is not on our list, get in touch at fionnuala.boyle@newsquest.co.uk and we'll share the news with our readers!
