Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault on Ayr's Racecourse Road.
The incident took place at around 7am, on Monday, February 8, when a 29-year old man was assaulted.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man and charged him in connection with the incident.
A 20-year-old man was also arrested and charged in connection with the incident, but was released on an undertaking to appear before Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Local Area Commander for South Ayrshire said: “I am aware of the concern this incident caused within the local community and would like to thank everyone who assisted with our enquiries.
