A man has been arrested and charged after a number of alleged housebreakings occured across Ayr.
The 44-year-old is expected to appear at court today [Thursday, February 18] after he was arrested for alleged involvement in the incidents.
Sergeant Marie Nichol, Priority Policing Team supervisor at South Ayrshire said: "Housebreaking is a despicable crime and can have devastating consequences for victims.
"Where they occur we will do all we can to find the person responsible. Often enquiries can take time but such crimes will remain a focus for local officers in South Ayrshire".
Anyone with information on crime in their community is encouraged to contact Police Scotland by calling the national non-emergency number 101 (in an emergency always dial 999). Information can also be passed via the independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
