Ayr Burns Club had to commemorate Robert Burns in a different way this year, due to current restrictions.
The club’s annual wreath laying ceremony was unable to go ahead as normal this year. Instead, representatives from the club laid floral tributes at Burns Statue Square.
Club President Dr Robbie McMahon was accompanied by immediate Past President Kathleen Davey to lay floral tributes to the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns on behalf of those who could not attend.
Wreaths and floral tributes were laid on behalf of South Ayrshire Council Provost Helen Moonie, who lays a wreath annually on behalf of the people of Ayr.
Kathleen laid floral tributes for the Robert Burns World Federation and for the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs.
