South Ayrshire Council is making a push to ensure its employer recruitment incentive helps as many people as possible across the council area.

The incentive is being used to try and create as many jobs as possible, with businesses in with a chance of receiving between £1,500 and £5,000 for newly created jobs.

A spokesperson for South Ayrshire Council said: “Despite restrictions, SAC Employability and Skills team have continued to support young people and adults in to employment or further education.

“The aim of the incentive is to move people in to sustained employment.Through the Scottish Government’s No-One Left Behind and Young Person’s Guarantee initiative, Employability & Skills are now able to offer an Employer Recruitment Incentive to support employers recruiting someone from South Ayrshire.

“Feedback has been extremely positive and to date we have had eight employers get in touch to discuss accessing the incentive”.
