Straiton residents have bemoaned the littering of those visiting the area as locals are left to clean up the mess left behind.
One man collected all of the rubbish pictured on Sunday morning from a field on the outskirts of the village after the snow and ice from the previous week had thawed.
Amongst the discarded items were pieces of sledges that had been used by people making the most of the wintry weather and subsequently thrown away into the field.
Also amongst the rubbish were containers and packaging from McDonald’s and Greggs, the nearest of these being 14 miles away in Ayr.
The farmer who owns the land has said that if it continues they’ll have to restrict access to the field.
