Thieves have stolen almost £15,000 of farm equipment from two separate locations in South Ayrshire.

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch in relation to the two separate thefts in the area over the festive period.

An Alligator Sheep Handling system valued at £8,000, similar to the one pictured, was stolen between 1pm on Thursday, December 24, and 1pm on Monday, December 28, from a farm in the Maybole area.

A Suzuki LFT 400FSI red and black quad bike, similar to the one pictured, was also stolen at approximately 8pm on Sunday, December 27.

The bike was stolen from a farm in the Pinmore area of Girvan, South Ayrshire and is valued at £6,500.

The headlights on the bike may be damaged and not in working order.
