An injured man had to be rescued from a boat in the water at Ardrossan Marina.
Responders from the fire service, coastguard and ambulance service attended this afternoon.
The person is believed to have sustained an injury and required help while aboard a boat.
At around 2.35pm, Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team attended to assist the casualty.
Earlier today, a spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "At just after 2.35pm today, HM Coastguard received a report of a person requiring medical assistance onboard a vessel...
"Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team were sent to assist the casualty. This incident remains ongoing."
The man was handed into the care of the Ambulance Service, his condition is not believed to be serious.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said : "We were called to assist emergency service partners on Tuesday, December 29, at Ardrossan marina after a report of one person in difficulty.
"Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance.
"Crews assisted partners in the recovery of one man who was handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service."
