A vehicle was set on fire in Dalrymple with police probing the deliberate blaze.
A silver Land Rover Discovery car was found on fire around 3.20am on Monday, December 14, while it was parked outside a property on Glebe Avenue in the village.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire.
Nobody was injured but the vehicle was extensively damaged.
The fire is being treated as deliberate and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Keith Hyndes, of Ayrshire CID, said: "We're investigating this incident and would urge anyone who may have information or may have seen any suspicious activity around the area to come forward.
"We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area during the early hours of the morning.
