POLICE have refuted rumours of a spate of attacks and robberies in Paisley.
Reports were circulating on social media that four women in the Renfrewshire town had been attacked and robbed last weekend.
Local cops have now rubbished the claims and said that no reports of this nature had been made to the police.

They encouraged anyone who had been the victim of such crimes to come forward.
In a statement for the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Division, police said: "We have been made aware of reports on some social media pages alleging that four women were attacked and robbed in separate incidents within the Paisley area last weekend.
"We can confirm that there have been no reports of that nature reported to Police Scotland."

Local Community Inspector Tracy Harkins said: "It would appear that this information is inaccurate, however, I would like to ask any person who may have been the subject of such a crime to come forward and report the circumstances at your local Police Office or by telephoning Police Scotland on telephone number 101."
