THE SSPCA are looking for a home for a snake who has been in their care for over a year.

They have been looking after Capri the corn snake for 430 days at their Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, making her the longest reptile resident.

Lynda Hourston, centre assistant manager, said: “Poor Capri has been waiting over a year to find her forever home, after coming into our care when her owner sadly passed away.

“She is looking for an experienced owner who is aware of her care needs and has the time to continue handling her.

“She will also need a large vivarium and the correct set up to keep her happy and healthy.”
