Police are continuing to appeal for information on a New Cumnock man one week on since he was reported missing after he was last spotted in Aviemore.

Ian Cameron left Milray Avenue, New Cumnock, shortly before midnight on Tuesday, October 6.

He was meant to be driving to work but was last spotted in the highland town at around 10.30am on Wednesday, October 14.

After he did not arrive at his work, he was officially reported missing on Friday, October 9.

Cumnock Chronicle:

62-year-old Ian is described as around 5ft 4in tall with a medium build and long grey/white hair often worn in a ponytail.

He was last seen wearing a beige coloured polo shirt, navy coloured combat trousers, navy fleece and black shoes.

His car is a silver Seat Leon, similar to the one pictured below, with the registration YE06 HDX.

Cumnock Chronicle:

Sergeant Caroline Brennan, based in Kilmarnock, said: "It's now been one week since Ian was reported missing and we're asking for the public to help us find him.

"We're concerned for his welfare and if anyone has seen someone matching Ian's description or his car, please contact us.

"If Ian is reading this, I'd ask him to let us know he's okay."
