LIVERPOOL have put the Championships top clubs on alert after Harry Wilson was left out of their Champions League squad.

It now looks increasingly likely the 23-year-old will be allowed to leave at Anfield and could open talks with interested parties once he returns from Wales duties.

The Wrexham-born winger was linked with a permanent move to Burnley prior to deadline day in the top-flight only for Sean Dyche’s side to ultimately baulk at Liverpool’s demands.

But having previously had successful loan spells at Hull, Derby County and Bournemouth - who were relegated last season - he could present an attractive proposition for a number of EFL promotion-chasing sides.

BOURNEMOUTH are adamant David Brooks is staying at the club despite interest from his former club Sheffield United.

The 23-year-old’s future has been the subject of great speculation this summer with a host of Premier League clubs - including Liverpool and Manchester United - linked with a move for the winger.

The Championship outfit regard the attacking midfielder as integral to their hopes of returning to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Bournemouth signed Brooks from the Blades for a £10million fee in July 2018 and his 46 appearances for the club since have yielded eight goals and five assists.

The Wales international missed almost the entirety of the 2019/20 campaign as he recovered from an operation on his ankle.

DERBY County and Middlesbrough are among the clubs interested in signing Baba Rahman from Chelsea who had been heavily linked with a move to Leeds United.

Leeds tried to tie up a deal for the the full back, contacting both Chelsea and the player’s representatives on deadline day, but a deal failed to materialise.

The domestic transfer window, however, remains open until October 16 allowing deals to be completed between the Premier League and clubs of the EFL.

The left-back has been on the Chelsea’s books for five years but has made just 15 top-flight appearances in that time while largely being loaned out.

Rahman, who has also been linked with Watford, has had previous loan spells at Schalke, Reims and Mallorca.

SPURS will offer £12m for Swansea City defender Joe Rodon and could loan him straight back to the Liberty Stadium club.

Jose Mourinho is keen to beat West Ham to the signing of the centre-back, 22, ahead of the 16 October cut-off.

The Championship club are said to want upwards of £15m for their academy product but could be tempted seeing Rodon immediately return on loan back with an option to recall him in January if needed.

Rodon, who played for Wales in last night's 3-0 defeat to England, has entered the final two years of his contract and is said to be keen to make the step up to the Premier League.

PORTSMOUTH boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed his interest in being reunited with Millwall's Ben Thompson.

Thompson started in Millwall’s first league game of the season, the 0-0 draw with Stoke, but hasn’t featured in the Championship since then. He played twice in the EFL Cup.

He made 27 appearances on loan at Pompey in the 2018-19 season, scoring three goals but was recalled by Neil Harris in January.

Millwall would need to bring in players before letting any fringe members of the squad leave.
