Beith’s Jemma Reekie has been nominated for Scottish Athletics' performer of the year award.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season going unbeaten in all but one 800m race throughout 2020.
Reekie has run five of the world’s top 14 times and led the world indoor rankings with a 1:57.91 in the 800m, a superior time to the world outdoor best this year.
She has also scooped British and Scottish records along the way.
Other nominated athletes include Callum Hawkins, Josh Kerr, Eilish McColgan, Laura Muir, Steph Twell, Jake Wightman and Joasia Zakrzewski.
The winner of the category along with performance coach of the year will be revealed on Saturday, October 10.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Scottish Athletics YouTube channel.
