LIKE many other events worldwide, Rhyl Music Club has now decided to move its concerts online amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Taking the place of the six live fortnightly concerts planned for the first half of their season, the first event on October 7 will feature the brilliant Manchester-based pianist Rose McLachlan.

Although she has only just completed her musical studies at Chetham's College of Music, Rose has already appeared on stage in Rhyl three times before and also performed internationally. She will be joined in her programme by the young soprano Isobel Coughlan.

Concert organiser Stephen Leeder said: "By putting our concerts online we aim not only to fill a bit of the void caused by being unable to stage live concerts but, equally importantly, support the musicians by giving them a lifeline.

"On the plus side, it gives us an opportunity to reach a much wider audience and demonstrate the high quality musical events that the club promotes."

Rose's concert can be viewed free of charge at 7.45pm on October 7 on www.rhylmusic.com where donations can be made to support the event and club.
