The major upgrade of Ardrossan’s supermarket has been finished after a £2.4million investment.

Customers at Asda can expect to enjoy a modern shopping experience at the revitalised store.

You can now pick up Costa drinks, pizzas served hot, and a fresh-faced clothing and home department.

Asda Ardrossan opened 13 years ago, and the refurbishment is the biggest investment in the store since then.

Paul Blair, store manager, said: “I’m pleased customers can now see the results of all the hard work which has been taking place behind the scenes at Asda Ardrossan.

“I want to thank our customers and the local community for their patience throughout the disruption and during this unprecedented time.

“Everyone is really excited to introduce new features to our customers that we know they will love, such as the hot pizza counter.

“We can’t wait to see the how the rest of the marina will look following the investment and are pleased to be one of the first retailers to show our support.

“I hope customers enjoy shopping in our new-look store.”

The shop now has a hot pizza counter, George.com and ToYou dropbox and an extended Scan &Go and self-scan checkout area.

Outside, the walkway has been refurbished and the petrol station has been given a makeover to bring it up to date.

The store has also benefited from a parcel drop box, giving customers the option to contactlessly collect and return parcels from George.com and over a hundred retailers via ToYou.

Other improvements made to tyhe Ardrossan store include improved toilet facilities and more self-scan checkouts to extend the number of contact free options available.
