COLLEAGUES Ellen McKay and Shona Hal both retired recently, after working at the Asda Ayr store for 16 years.

Their manager Suzanne, who presented them with gifts at a leaving party, said they were extremely popular members of the George At Asda team with both customers and colleagues and were going to be sadly missed.

Asda Ayr General Store Manager Suzanne said: “Both Ellen and Shona were a pleasure to work with.

“I worked with them both for 13 years and it was like working with family at the end.”

She added: “They are a big loss to the George department but we wish them all the best for the future.”
