A young girl from Ayr has been the lucky recipient of a free laptop from an epilepsy charity.
Eleven-year-old Millie Brown received the laptop from Epilepsy Scotland, who are supporting young people with epilepsy to access online and digital services.
The national charity is donating 11 laptops and tablets to young people, aged six to 17, across the country including Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Tayside, Grampian, Lanarkshire and the Highlands.
Epilepsy Scotland chief executive, Lesslie Young, said: “We know that education can be challenging at any time for a young person with epilepsy, and the pandemic created a new set of hurdles for some individuals when they were restricted in their access to school during lockdown.
“With the new academic year under way, Epilepsy Scotland has been considering how it might be able to support pupils with epilepsy as they return to school next term.”
The initiative was possible thanks to donations from local businesses.
