A COMMUNITY Hub have used their powerful CCTV again in an attempt to catch another crook on Ayr High Street.

Tsukure Hub say they are assisting police in tracking down a male suspect after an attempted a break-in at McColl's between 5.10am and 5.23am on Monday, August 24.

Ayr Advertiser:

A man is said to have kicked the door at the convenience shop as he tried to enter.

But he was unable to gain entry to the store or steal anything.

The tech-hub further along the High Street have captured the suspect on their cameras.

He is described as wearing black puffed jacket and white trainers.

Adam Short of Tsukure Hub told the Advertiser: "Our cameras have got the guy walking past us twice.

“It’s hard to recognise his face due to the angle and position where he runs to the camera, but you can clearly see what he is wearing and he has a distinct walk.

“We also picked up some walkers and several cars who would have seen him at the time."

We told how Tsukure Hub was targeted by a thief but was caught just days later.

The Hub issued a warning to crooks not to try steal from them again after their high definition cameras helped indentify a suspect and retrieve the stolen goods.

Adam added: "It's amazing to think that criminals still think they can try businesses around us with the quality of cameras we have."

Police have confirmed they are investgiating the attempted break-in.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing following an attempted break-in at a shop on Ayr High Street during the early hours of Monday, August 24."

"Entry was not gained to the shop and nothing was stolen."
