A MAN has been charged after a seven-year-old was struck by a car in Ayr.
The girl was left seriously injured after the incident on Sunday, August 9 around 6.50pm on Hay Hill.
She was taken to Ayr hospital for treatment.
A 22-year-old man has now been charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police can confirm that a 22-year-old man has been charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to a road traffic crash which happened on Hay Hill in Ayr on Sunday, August 9, in which a seven-year -old girl was struck and seriously injured by a motor car.
