Man appears in court charged with murder after A77 layby death
A MAN has appeared at court charged with murder and an attempt to pervert the course of justice after a body was found on the A77.
George McMillan, 54, from Ayr made no plea to both charges at Ayr Sheriff Court today.
He was arrested in connection with the mysterious death of Michael Thomson, also from Ayr.
The body of Thomson was found inside a parked car on a layby on Saturday, July 25.
McMillan has been remanded in custody.
He will appear again at a later date.
