A POLICE helicopter was called out in Ayr last night after concerns were raised for a person.
The chopper searched The Loaning park in Alloway around 8pm.
Officers on the ground also carried out a thorough search of the area with dog vans also spotted at the scene.
The incident is being treated as a false report with good intent.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A report was received raising concern for a person seen in the area of The Loaning park in Alloway shortly after 8pm.
"A thorough search of the area was carried out by officers and no trace was found of anyone causing any concern in the area.
"No further reports have been made to police and the incident is being treated as a false report with good intent."
