A MAJOR road where a man died suddenly on Saturday in a parked car was closed today to allow police to investigate.
The A77 between the Holmston and Whitletts roundabouts was temprorarily shut between 9.30am and 3.30pm - with a diversion in place.

Emergency services raced to the scene around 6pm and police were alerted to the sudden death of the man after his body was discovered by paramedics.

Detectives yesterday appealed for information after the car in which the man was found was spotted at the layby at 7am on Saturday morning.
The body was found inside a blue Ford Fiesta, car registration - LA56 HZN which was parked in a layby on the northbound carriageway of the road near Dalmilling Golf Course.
Traffic was diverted whilst police carried out their investgiations.
