A RHYL fundraising group has not forgotten its four legged friends during lockdown.

Yvette Green and Steve Evans, volunteers of Community charity Belief, recently visited the Pet Rescue Welfare Association in Dyserth to drop off £140 of food and goodies to the service’s ‘pet’ food bank.

In addition to their work providing tablets for the Conwy and Denbighshire Children and Adolescents Learning Disabilities Team, or donating £250 to a man whose house was destroyed in a fire in Prestatyn, the group "continue to look after pets as well as people" throughout the pandemic.

Mr Evans, a volunteer from Meliden said: “Both Yvette and I had the pleasure meeting up with Dawn Marie to presenting the Pet Rescue with a selection of food on behalf of Belief.

"Keeping to our commitment to “buy local” where we can, all pet food was purchased from local shop Dudley and Friends on Prestatyn High Street.
