Ponies at Whiteleys Retreat were recently treated to a lovely spa day thanks to animal volunteers Cara, Katie, Gillian and Pauline.
Shetland Ponies Bugsy and Jigsaw and American miniature pony Puzzle, reside at the Whiteleys Retreat charity, offering animal therapy to families.
They are looked after by Maxine Allan and cared for daily by different volunteers from all over Ayrshire.
Maxine said: “Families visiting Whiteleys love our ponies and they provide great therapy for the children.
“With lockdown measures in place the ponies have missed the families coming in, but thankfully myself, my daughter Lemoni and our animal volunteers have taken care of them.”
“As we have a family coming to reside this week, we thought they could do with a little spa day to freshen up after lockdown.
“We’re very fortunate to have a great bunch of people, with expert knowledge on looking after ponies, helping us out!”
