The charity Action on Hearing Loss Scotland has assisted more than 1000 Ayrshire and Arran residents since the beginning of lockdown in Scotland.
Whilst the Community Hearing Support service ran by the charity and funded by the three Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnerships has been unable to hold its community drop-in service, it has been running a hearing aid battery service by post and offering information and support to local hearing aid users.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s Fiona Goodwin said: “It’s brilliant that we’ve been able to assist so many people across Ayrshire and Arran throughout what has been a tough time for everyone.
“If anyone needs batteries for their NHS hearing aid or require information on hearing loss please do get in touch.”
