Duncan Roy and Gus Barton are currently in the process of rowing around the UK for the NHS Charities Together and Sport in Mind.

People have been absolutely fascinated by their multiple daily blogs, videos and imagery.

Gus is fundraising for Sport in Mind, after a friend’s father took his own life in February.

Duncan is rowing for the NHS, where his partner works as a nurse.

The boys reached Scottish waters a couple of days ago when they spent the evening in Portpatrick harbour,.

But have rowed on again and as we went to press were just rounding the Mull of Kintyre. They will continue rowing night and day as they complete their clockwise circumnavigation of the UK in a row boat.

The boys headed towards Ailsa Craig on Tuesday, July 7 at 11pm with a very long night of rowing ahead of them.

It was a very dark night due to the heavy cloud cover, with 11-13k westerly winds and it remained largely dry until 7am the next morning.

An Instagram post made after reaching Ailsa Craig, by ‘duncroy1’ read: “Amazing work team, big overnight mileage, especially with beam on wind and waves, keep going!”
