AN AYRSHIRE bus network has been nominated for two prestigious transport awards.
Stagecoach West has been recognised at this year Scottish Transport Awards.
The team’s Ayrshire Express Network, which connects Ayr, Prestwick, Irvine and Kilmarnock to Glasgow, has been praised.
The Ayrshire Express fleet includes the latest Plaxton Panorama Euro 6 double decker coaches, carrying an average of 100,000 passengers every month.
Stagecoach West’s campaign aiming to promote positive attitudes to travelling by bus has also been chosen as a finalist.
The marketing team are a finalist in the ‘Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing’ category for their innovative campaign ‘Love My Bus’.
