The Community Gift Exchange (CGX) has partnered with a team at Tsukure Hub based in High Street, Ayr and opened up a pop up workshop within their premises.

CGX has received a community grant for a project which is part of Cycling UK’s ‘Big Bike Revival’ and is supported by Transport Scotland to encourage more people to get back onto two wheels.

CGX cycles offers free loan bikes and servicing for keyworkers.

To support the Ayr Locality Policing Team, staff at CGX are now kindly servicing the bicycle fleet used by locality officers.

Sgt Marie Nichol from the Ayr Locality Policing Team said "We are grateful for the support from the Community Gift Exchange and the Tsukure Hub for the offer of servicing of our bikes which are used frequently by officers to patrol the local area and engage with local communities".

"CGX is a great community assest to encourage people to use bikes and the obvious health and wellbeing benefits this brings, as well as supporting keyworkers and the essential role they provide at this time."

CGX can be found on High Street, Ayr opposite Fish Cross.
