Police are on the hunt after a pensioner was seriously hurt in an assault in Ayr.
A 71-year-old man was allegedly attacked on Saturday (July 4) in the Seaforth Road area at around 8pm.
The elderly man, who sustained serious injuries, is described as being slim build with short grey shaved hair, tanned complexion, and was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.
Detective Constable Lana Grant, from Ayr CID, said: “Our enquiries into this report are very much ongoing and we are trying to establish the full circumstances.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw an assault take place or saw the man walking injured between Seaforth Road and Seaforth Crescent to please come forward.”
