A youngster from St Johns Primary in Ayr, recently raised an outstanding amount for the Foodbank after completing a school project.
Lewis Burgess, 11, from Ayr was asked to complete a meaningful task as part of a school project such as litter picking and helping out in the community.
Lewis decided to do a sponsored dirt bike challenge with his new bike in a bid to raise funds, with all proceeds going to the foodbank.
After absolutely smashing the challenge, Lewis raised a fantastic £160, which helped donate food and essentials to the Riverside Church and the Riverside Community Trust for families in need.
Lewis’s mum said: “We have all had testing times over the last 3 months due to the pandemic.
“We couldn’t be prouder of him.
"He has such a good heart.”
