Staff at Co-op Funeralcare on Glaisnock Street have redecorated their shop windows with picture postcards of the past.
The “Back in the Day” photo exhibition was put together by Gillian Patrick, member pioneer at the Cumnock Co-op.
Gillian, who has been collecting photos for
the past couple of months, said that the project had been started, “to get folk talking and reminiscing.”
Since the window went up it has been described as a great success.
And Gillian revealed that she’s “already had some great conversations and lots of reminiscing”.

Scotland is in lockdown, shops are closing and newspaper sales are falling fast. We’re not exaggerating when we say that the future of the Cumnock Chronicle, and the vital local news service we’ve provided since 1901 is under threat.
Please consider supporting the Cumnock Chronicle in whatever way you can – by paying just 90p for a copy of the paper, when you’re shopping for essential supplies for yourself and others, or by subscribing to our e-edition here.
