ALL of South Ayrshire’s recycling centres are now operating normally after temporary ones helped cope with demand in June.
The Household Waste Recycling Centres in Ayr, Girvan, Maybole and Troon are back to their usual opening hours.
Temporary centres such as the Citadel at Ayr opened up from June 1 to June 14 for residents to have an extra facility for general/ black bag waste.
As the service returns to normal, the council are still focused on keeping their employees and residents safe when accessing HWRCs.
In no circumstance should anyone in a household who has symptoms of COVID-19, or is shielding because of an underlying health condition visit any of the sites to dispose of waste.
Residents are also advised to bring proof they live in South Ayrshire in the form of a driving licence or a council tax bill – as failure to provide this could mean they are refused.
