The Ayr and District Flower Club have taken the difficult decision not to hold their 2020 show, which was due to be held on Friday 15 and Saturday, August 15.

The Ayr and District Flower Show is focussed on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for its competitors, visitors, committee and volunteers, which has been at the front of this decision.

They told the Advertiser that they understand that this news will come as a disappointment to the many of you that have supported the show since its inaugural event in 2017.

We have closely monitored the situation over the past weeks and months and it is now clear that holding the show in 2020 isn’t feasible considering the circumstances. With this being said, the committee of the show would still like to bring people together through the sharing of all things horticulture and so we are looking at the possibility of creating an online collection of images that match up to the show schedule. For this, we will be updating you in the coming weeks on how this could possibly work so check online to find out more soon.

The committee of Ayr and District Flower Show are looking into the possible dates for a 2021 show, in which the details will be shared on the website once finalised.
