A man has been charged in connection with the robbery of a three figure sum from a Mossblown takeaway.
Two armed men reportedly threatened staff at the shop on Station Road at 11.30pm on Saturday, May 30, forcing them to hand over hundreds of pounds.
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Police in South Ayrshire can confirm that a 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Station Road, Mossblown. The man will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today, Monday, June 22."
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Area Commander at South Ayrshire said: "I'm aware of the concern this incident caused to the local community and to local businesses. I would like to thank those who assisted with our enquiries during the investigation."
